A week after Nick Lashley became the 10th first-time winner on the PGA Tour this season, we were able to witness young Matthew Wolff become the 11th at the 3M Open. Unlike seemingly low-key, 36yr old Lashley last week, who astounded spectators with his impressive 6 shot victory, Matthew just turned 20 in April and his swing has more flare than just about anyone's on tour.
Wolff was paired w PGA Tour vet and local fan favorite, Tom Lehman on Saturday and the Tas-Tee Team couldn't resist joining the following. We witnessed this PGA Tour rookie take on the energy from the crowd, yet stay poised and focused. Down the stretch on Sunday and up against several young guns going low, Matthew proved he's a viable candidate for "the next best thing on tour".
Congrats to Matthew and his team and we can't wait to see him on our next PGA Tour event.
