Tas-Tee Team had a home game this week and it was a wild one in The Colony you guys! The weather was absolutely not cooperating with the event and it was quickly shortened from a 72 hole tournament down to 36. The Tas-Tee Team was able to brave the storms for 2 of the practice rounds and it was actually quite pleasant on Sunday and our team was able to take full advantage of the LPGA being so close to the Tas-Tee HQ in Arlington.
During the practice rounds Jason was sent over to the driving range while the rest of the team was on photo duty. Jason got this great selfie with Jacqui Contilino:
The course itself seemed extremely difficult and most of the ladies had predictable difficulties with ball flights, spin control and incalculable gusts. Several ladies were able to separate themselves from the pack and it became a Texas shootout on Sunday which was great to see.
24 year old Park Sung-hyun ended up winning the trophy but not without a serious late Sunday charge by Lindy Duncan. Congrats to Lindy and a Texas-sized THANK YOU to the event staff and grounds crew for putting on a great event despite the uncontrollable weather.
Oh my gosh.. Am I really going to The Players next week @TPC Sawgrass?!!
