Tas-Tee at the Byron Nelson

Tas-Tee at the Byron Nelson

As if looping w local celebrity Tony Romo at The Veritex Bank Championship a few weeks ago wasn’t cool enough, walking TPC Craig Ranch w local hero Jordan Spieth was one of the coolest things we’ve ever gotten to do. Golf highlight of the week was watching Jordan’s putt on 18 go in for eagle from almost 60ft.. and the crowd went bonkers! ::chills::

Another great moment was meeting Zach Sucher & his caddie for a minute or two on the 9th tee box.. Play was backed up a few groups for Keith Sneds and Jimmy so, while waiting, we told em bout a Tas-Tee and they had to try em.. and in doing so technically became the first Tas-Tee used at a PGA event... we made it y’all! Lol

Also fun to catch up w some of our personal favorites like Sneddy, Ryan Palmer and Keith Mitchell. Also young Dylan Meyer, who we met on our inaugural Tas-Tee Roadtrip in 2018. All of these guys played great golf & made the cut, which was a whopping -6! Just imagine shooting 5 under for 2 days and having to go home. To say these guys were lighting it up would be an understatement.

After Jordan’s earth shaking eagle on 18, he was tied for the lead after day one w a score of -9. The course flexed a bit more muscle throughout the week but it still could contain the world’s best from going very low. Jordan finished tied for third at -20, four shots back of the winner, KH Lee. Lee was solid down the stretch, even after a severe downpour dampened things on Sunday.

Jordan will be looking to keep his momentum going into next week’s PGA Championship in South Carolina.

We’re looking forward to next weeks major as well.. then it’s back to Texas for the Colonial in Fort Worth! 😁
